Heel Hop Workout Review

HEEL HOP® - Strap on your Heels for a Revolutionary Full-Body Metabolic Workout.
HEEL HOP® - Strap on your Heels for a Revolutionary Full-Body Metabolic Workout.
Over the years, we’ve had plenty of workouts deemed to be maybe a little too sexy, maybe a little too sultry, a touch to risque. The latest workout style to hit this list, though maybe not as risque as its predecessors, is the Heel Hop workout.

This is a workout designed not just for your daily dose of exercise, but to also learn how to reign in your heels and gain the sexy confidence to wear them right.

It’s true that wearing heels at all, let alone during workouts, isn’t considered to be all that healthy, but given that they are such a cultural necessity, I suppose it makes sense that someone put out a “Training video” on how to properly use them – or how to use them to your advantage.

So take off those runners and get Heel Hoppin’.

Is this a fun spin on activity and fitness? Sure! Will it make you move in ways you never thought you could? Absolutely! Will it teach you how to move with your heels instead of against them? You bet!

Is it safe? Probably not. Your ankles and knees are incredibly fragile when moved against their natural alignment, and if you aren’t already somewhat familiar with how to pull off crazy moves in your pumps, this might not be a great place to push yourself.

On the flip side, done correctly, you might feel like you’re strengthening those very same areas and learn a thing or two about how to hold yourself properly distribute your weight while wearing your prettiest peep-toes. The one saving grace to this video is that there is virtually no impact – and if there isn’t any impact, there is less of a chance of injury.

Kamilah Barrett is a professional Hip Hop dancer and has been dancing in heels since long before her career began. Throughout this workout experience, she teaches you how to move both gracefully and effectively in heels.

All in all, it’s tough not to love this workout. From the music to the moves, it certainly puts a smile on my face and makes me instantly feel a little more confident, and a little more flirty.

The bottom line is that no health professional is never going to approve this, and for that reason alone, I can’t either. But there is definitely something about Heel Hop that lets you reap your femininity, sexual prowess and boatloads of self-esteem. Just sayin’
